Leaping Lemurs in Madagascar

Discussion in 'Birds' started by bobhoge, Sep 29, 2005.

  1. While in Madagascar we took a harrowing   4 hour drive to Perinet to see the Lemurs. Lemurs are only found there and yes, they really do leap from branch to branch.

The Indiri is the largest living Lemur and stays high in the tree-tops. It was really hard to get a good shot of them.

The Brown Lemurs were a little easier to shoot. Both D70 80-400VR @ 400mm:

    We also saw the Wooly Lemur - D70 80-400VR @ 230mm:

And also the Diadem Sifaca (another type of Lemur) - D70 80-400VR @ 86mm:
