Learning to use the D300 on my BYBs.

Discussion in 'Birds' started by MikeMcA², Jul 4, 2008.

  1. There is something to be said for the DX "reach". D300, 400 f/2.8 AF-S II, TC-17E II, SB800. Still trying to get used to settings and "best EV" etc., but I like the colors.

Way to go Mike.......very nice captures! Like yourself I'm trying figure out what is the best metering to use on the D300.
  4. nice work
maybe a little dark but levels or EV in PP should help
if you shot these in jpg try lightroom, it's amazing what it can do for a jpg (I used to think you needed a nef to make those kind of light changes)
  5. You were right, those are sharp. Well done.

  6. Beautiful colors all around. Nicely done.
