Least tern chick

I had hoped to find more tern chicks on the beach but I only saw two. They were farther away than I would like and I waiting patiently hoping they would be curious and come closer. No such luck but the D850 allows for a lot of cropping. Taken shortly after the sun came up.

The light is so important but many do not realize that. I am at the beach before 6 but know others who sleep in and arrive after 9.
