    Ken,

You live in the Bay area, are there any Calumet Camera stores near you? I have rented several items from them, they have a great selection and the rental prices seemed reasonable. I rented a 400mm f/2.8 for a Saturday and Sunday for $60.00

  3. The folks at Pictureline are great to work with. I get to their store about once a week to drool. They have more history with Canon so that rental pool is much deeper than the Nikon one. However, they assure me that they are planning to beef up the Nikon rental side.
