I can't find but one post regarding the lens coat products. It appears that they serve their purpose, but is there more than one product offered? I'm looking to purchase one to protect a new 300 2.8. The pictures on the lens coat web site look nice, but is that how they really look after several hours/days of shooting? Thanks for your thoughts.

Many of the shooters around here use them in many flavors of camo and covers. I love mine and would not have a lens without it. It is the best protection against scratches, and small dings than anything else.

I also have the black one for my 200VR lens, and I have several of their lens hoods, and body wraps too that I really like.

I have lightly banged the lens into so many branches, windows in the car, tailgates, etc. and the best part is during the summer heat, the lenscoats actually help with the heat on the black lenses by relfecting some of the sun and keeps the lens cooler.

They are neoprene, they wash off easily, they clean easily, I heartily recommend them.

Thanks Wade. I was afraid they were protective, but maybe not too functional. Based on your recommendation, I'll order one for the new lens.
