Lens lust satisfied cheap

Nov 10, 2008
I just finished collecting 35,50,85 all 1.4 G. Also 60 2.8 N & 105 2.8 VR.

A 24 would be nice, so would 1.4, but I rarely use 24 or wider and the 24 G is another monster.

So I dragged out the 24 2.8 AFD to see how it works. The corners are sharp enough for landscape details in the corners at 5.6, FX and no restrictions on DX. I define landscape details as tree branches in the very corners. Not scientific, but practical.

The test cameras were D700 and D7000.

I worked well enough that my basic DX kit will be 24 2.8 AFD, 35 1.8 G, and 60 2.8N G
