"...made from soft shock-absorbing neoprene".

I have fallen twice while hiking recently and so far the camera missed the rocks, but I might not be so lucky next time. Looks like it might provide a little weather protection also.

I haven't used the body bag, but I have a lens coat set for my 70-200 and it's really nicely made, I think the quality of both the material and assembly are nicer than on any of the Op/Tech products I've owned.

In the past, I have used the OpTech version. It worked well with my D80 and 18-200 lens. I would just carry the camera in my purse that way. But, I now have a D300 and 24-70 so it doesn't fit and that combo is a little bulky to fit in my purse. I was very happy with it when I did use it. It was also handy when I was carrying the camera around my neck in rainy or snowy weather. The camera was relatively protected and I still had it out and ready to shoot.
