THank you everyone for all the advice. I think I am going to start off with the 70-299VR and get a TC1.4. That will have to last me for awhile but that's OK because it is going to take me awhile to figure out what to do with the kit lens and this lens. I am sooooooo excited about this whole process. I can't wait to get started.
