Sometimes you want to be the man, other times you just want to be the man who fixes everything.

John, you seem to have trouble deciding lately

Yeah tell me about it. I wish this were just about choosing a lens this time. Just got some bad news the past week from two friends (one family leukemia and the other family a stroke). Doing everything I can to help out, just wish I could do more. It just never feels like it's enough.

Thanks all. I haven't gotten a lot of news like this in my life, I've been pretty lucky. I had to talk to the spouse that didn't have the stroke today, they have only left the hospital once in a week. I had to explain to them that they need to take care of themselves too or they aren't going to last long. Stress destroys you physically, I learned that during divorce. I explained to them they need to get home at night, get a good rest, and spend time with the kids (with family friend right now). They were very receptive to everything I had to say, which is really good. The outlook is a year for therapy/recovery.
