Lightroom Texture Slider

The LR presence panel (clarity, dehaze, vibrance, saturation) now has a texture control. I just played with it a bit and it seems like it has great potential. Here's an example (left image with my original edits, right image has those edits and a texture adjustment of -35):

I received a notice of two available Adobe updates this morning. One for Lightroom Classic, and one for ACR. The Lightroom update added the texture slider among other things. The ACR update to version 11.3 added support for new cameras as well as the texture slider which is located in the basic panel along with clarity and dehaze, just like in LR classic. FYI.

I requested this tool several times when Adobe sent me a questionnaire. It duplicates similar tools in Capture One and the NIK Collection.

I just updated my version of ACR, I think this new slider "Texture" is a super addition. It has some interaction with other adjustments but seems to work very well.

Good video. I’d like to understand better the interaction between sharpening and texture.

I wonder how long it will take Adobe to reproduce all of the CEFX filters?
