Lily - Drama Lighting

    This image was an attempt to achieve some dramatic lighting using high speed sync and the D1X. An SB26 was positioned about 20 inches from the lily and slightly below. The flash was set to 1/16 power at 85mm M mode. The flash synced at 1/1250 sec f/20. Flash was triggered by PWII. The lens was 105mm 2.8 VR. I chose the high speed sync option because of the wind and the changing light shadows.

    The water drops form this morning's rains made for some interesting highlights. The large one on the bottom petal looks strange and could be processed out.

    The NEF image was converted using NX. CS2 pp consited of cropping/minimal sharpening/and conversion for web.
