  1. I'm not sure what the name of this flower is, but the blossom is only about an 1 1/2" across. It's a cute little guy.

Looks like day lilies. But not sure. That is a wee small.

Could be though if it is growing wild.

    Great shot

  3. Gale, my wife planted it in the garden, but can't remember the name.

  4. Yes it is a cute little guy. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Looks a lot like a Blackberry Lilly. Nice shot BTW. Love these colors.

  7. Gorgeous flower. You really nailed the DOF in this image.

  8. Thanks everyone for the comments. Frank, believe it or not, this shot was done with the 24-85mm at 85mm. I keep thinking of getting rid of this lens , as I am lusting for the Beast, but when I use it I'm always impressed with the image quality it can produce.

    Scott,

Patrick has this lens also, and it seems to be very good. It would be great if we could all afford every pro lens that we lust for, but the truth is, as you have demonstrated, there are some awfully good mid-range lenses out there that take great pictures at a fraction of the cost. 8)
