Somebody at my girlfriends work asked me to take pictures for their daughters solemn communion. I don't have much experience in photographing children and doing portraits but wanted to give it a shot.

I have to admit it's so much fun in photographing kids (her brother was around too for some pictures) ... they're so spontaneous.

Comments and helpful critique are always welcome :)

These are cute! I like the stop-action water!

Direct sunlight is hard for this kind of shot. Too much squinting! You may want to shot against the sun and use a soft reflector or fill flash.

Well done, I agree with the squinting but over all great work. Well done with the background and the color really pop. I really like the last one.
