Nice variety pack. The fairy wren is one of my favorite birds. And the little pied is the only attractive cormorant IMO.

Thank you. I was glad to see the Kookaburra. When my adapter arrives later this week and I can try the Nikkor lens on a Fuji body, hopefully it can focus on the subject like the DSLR does for the Kookaburra where it blends with the surrounds. I'm looking forward to having a silent shutter for a change.

Thank you. It is not always easy to get a pleasing background when photographing birds in the bush. I know some photographers spend time in PS cleaning up the background, and it does make a difference. I don't have the patience for it.

Sometimes I get lucky, as with this Sacred Kingfisher, and get a clear background

Pink-eared Ducks have odd-shaped bills, evolved to feed in a specialised manner: water is sucked through the bill-tip, then expelled through grooves along the side of the bill, filtering out tiny invertebrates in the process.
