Look and wonder: NO digital rework here!

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by italy74, Aug 20, 2008.

  1. Well,

let's see if someone is able to understand HOW is possible to get such shot without doing any pp rework...
By the way, it's the promenade of my town in Liguria... Are you interested in visiting it?

    Is this film? Velvia?

In any case it's a nice shot, great colours
  3. Polarizing filter? Yes, I would love to visit!
  4. C'mon guys, of course polarizing was on, but.... is it enough to get such colours?
  5. Shootind Vivid + SinghRay Color Intesifier?
  6. No, Gonzo, NORMAL shooting and NO color intensifier.. try again!
  7. I don't have a clue as to how you did it, but it is beautiful! I so wanted to go to Cinque Terra when I was in Italy a few years back, but we did not have enough time to do all the things that we wanted to do.
Some day I will go back and visit, some day.....

Maybe had your WB set to Tungsten?
  13. No, colours are as-is, no WB tweaking. Auto.
  14. A hint, you have the answer in front of you...
  15. And this is sight from the hotel near the sanctuary over Rapallo where my family goes now and then: in the distance you can see Portofino (with a love boat aside), Santa Margherita and the closer city is Rapallo. On the most right there's the side of the sanctuary
Having exposed for the sky, hill colours are a bit shifted and dark...

How do you get a shot like that? Just go there with a camera and take it. Go without your computer so you don't do any pp'ing.
  18. Hi guys
one of you was right, i have to admit.

F6, 17-35 and Velvia 50. Just as simple as that. I never got such colours from a DSLR and I really wonder if it's possible without any PP straight out of the camera. I'm also uploading some pics I did to my mother's flowers. Among about 30,000 digital shots I took til now, only a few (for other reasons) liked me as much as these.
  19. Another shot of the little beach we have, very far from your endless ones!
