Looking for some batch sharpening advice

I shoot a fair amount of Little League baseball and Middle School Football. I am know that I need to do some PP sharpening, but would prefer not to go through hundreds of images one at a time. My current software is PSE 9 and LR3. I have various Topaz plug-ins including In-Focus. Is batch sharpening in LR3 advisable? If so what are some good techniques? If not, what other options are open to me?

Thanks

The whole point of LR (well a major feature anyway) is that you can apply development settings to a whole batch of similar photos. So take a typical NEF, get it as you like, then apply those same settings to all the other photos.

However you have to learn how to work Lightroom, if you don't know already.

In LR3, sharpen one photo the way you like.
Select it.
Hold down the shift key and select all the photos
Hit Sync - de-select everything except sharpening.
Now all the photos you selected are sharpened.
