    That's a song by "Bread", isn't it? ;)
This little baby Mourning Dove must've just taken his 1st flight, and landed on a rail not 10ft from me on the deck. He just sat there for the longest time, trying to figure out which way back home was. I was doing some testing with my Better Beemer on my D2X/200-400VR+TC 1.4. So, not wanting to waste this goldn opportunity, I fired off several shots of this slightly bewildered creature, before he finally decided that was enough. Bet he was on that rail for almost 5 mins!
The wide shot, and no, his tail isn't in the shot here, but it's very very short anyway.

This is a 100% crop of another shot. Love this expression!

Very nice Steve. The second may need a tad less USM, but it is an amazing image in any case.

I redid it Frank, you're right

WHat happened, was I did 2 versions of it, and 1 was sharpened twice. That was the one I embedded. I fixed that. Thanks!

Thanks Brian, I love that 1st one too!

Even though I oversharpened it. I did upload a new version of it that hasn't been sharpened quite so much. Hope that one is showing now!

  11. Great captures, and one incredible stare in the second!

  12. Impressive shots Steve, especially the last one. The bird looks intimidating.
