Start with the WWII Fighters and some more recent trainers, not all of them just a variety, D2Xs or D200 and 200-400 handheld, last shot in the hangar with 35mm f2,

  2. Very nice series - as always

The hangared Spit is a georgeous restoration.

Other than the tent part - I'm jealous.

Great shots. As I used to work on them as a kid, my fave (Spitfire aside) is the Sea Fury!

  4. Oh, come on now Wade.. Where are the Raptor shots???

  5. very nice Wade...

I would love to see that Sea Fury come by low and fast!

Absolutley magnificent photo's Wade. I love the two seater Spitfire.
I hope to go to the Royal Naval Air Station Museum at Yeovilton next week.
If I can get shots half as good as yours I will be well pleased.

    Best regards
    Andy

Ha! didn't get any this year, It arrived Thursday morning, in the rain, so I wasn't there, I was indoor at the fly market, Talked to Frank Eng54ine later in the morning, in the drizzle, and they said they weren't coming up, so Thursday Afternoon, It was raining a touch still, so I left the airventure and drove the 7 hours back to St. Louis Thursday night, lots of rain and storms at EAA on Thursday evening, Friday during the day and some during the show, Rain, lousy skies, and the accident so no warbirds show, and the Raptor didn't fly full shows until Saturday, and I was going to leave Saturday AM anyway.

So that is that! Jim (spuds) has the shots from Saturday.

    Struck out this year.

don't be, I am getting a bit tired of the tent route too, At least it was cool for a change the first part of the week, Sat-Wed. Just hate the mud and wet grass during the rain, Tent is nice and dry, slept on a cot, portapots , but the shower houses are fine and have hot water and sinks where I stay.

Love the sound of the Sea Fury, love it.

  13. What you got skunked asgain for the F-22.. Humm. told you you should have made the trip out here to Pt. Mugu this year... They flew it twice in the same day since the F-18's were grounded for problems...

Very nice Wade, quite a sweet variety of vintage WW II aircraft. If sure looks as though you had perfect access to get these shots. Next year for sure!

I'm sorry I missed these images earlier. They are fantastic and some of the best I have ever seen. Thank you very much for sharing them and if you posted more I would not be offended.
