so I received the 60mm today, and eagerly awaiting the 17-55 in 2 days, but I took a few test shots and man...love this lens, I still need to learn to properly use it for macros but I can tell once I get it look out!

Nice stuff Lisa, looks very sharp to me. I enjoyed the colours and lines in no2.

I have the "great-grandfather" of this lens the 55/2.8 AIS Micro and find it to be a really good performer also

thanks Robert, I really liked that one as well. I wish it had been sharper but there was a slight breeze so the flowers kept moving and I had my dogs on their leashes waiting and sometimes not patiently LOL. Next time it will be even better I think.

    thanks Lisa

exitnine, I have no basis fro comparison but I am sure othera can provide feedback. I like this one though the AF is very fast.
  7. Hey, Lisa,

It's wonderful to see your images! You really make that lens sing. I had a 60 for awhile, but my shots always seemed to come out looking too sterile or clinical. The camera and lens worked fine, but for some reason, I could never form a partnership with the 60. It's great to see it in the hands of someone who knows how to use it! Love that first shot!

Now, the 17-55 has become my constant companion...

  9. Got one of those too and it's a great glass...By the way, I like your dog's pose:biggrin:

    Willoughby, Oh
I shot this image for a technical manual this morning with my 60mm Micro and was sort of surprised by the outcome.

Also, I how is your 17-55 is working out for you. Mine just arrived 2 days ago and so far I have to say it's a great lens.

wow that is a really sharp John nice job!

I love the 17-55, it balances well on the D300 and I have no complaints about the picture IQ or colors...I am pretty happy with my lens line up...except for the occasional 85 1.4 lust :)
