Lunchtime GBH shots....

I needed a break from a long hectic week at work, so on Friday lunchtime I headed over to the local pond to get in some shots. My good friend the GBH was there waiting for me.... 8)

He's a pretty one, but doesn't have the mating plumage of the one I shot at Lake Guntersville last week. I was taking posed shots until a man and his young son came running up and spooked him. I managed to get several shots as he flew off. These guys are so majestic in flight. I think that the GBH is my favorite species (who would ever guess??). :)

All taken with the D2H and the 300 f2.8.

Nice shots. How much of your lunch did you share with him? :D

Ready for this coming week? Only a few more days and everyone starts coming down.
