I use an App called Battery Health 2 to monitor the battery on my mid 2015 MacBook Pro.
I'm not one to leave it on the charger 24/7. I usually charge it full, use it until it gets to a somewhat low level and charge it again.
According to Battery Health 2 my Original Max Charge is 8755 when new.
I have been averaging a 7200 Max Charge when full with a 82% battery health rating.
I recently left it on the charger for about a day and a half. It was fully charged after a couple of hours but I left it on the charger.
When I went to use it today my Max Charge increased to almost 7500 instead of the regular 7200 with a battery health rating of 86%.
It seems like leaving it on the charge trickle charged it a little extra and actually helped the overall health of the battery.
I never thought leaving it on the charger would be this beneficial once the battery reached a full charge.

Was your 2015 machine's battery one of the ones affected by that recall that Apple had a while back? Is this a replacement for the original battery? At any rate, sounds as though battery life is doing well in your machine!

Hi Connie,
No it wasn't eligible for the recall.
It only has 174 cycle counts right now so it has quite a bit of life left.
I believe they're rated for 1000.
I bought it a couple of years ago from another Cafe member and it looked brand new when I received it. It still does as I have a hard shell cover on it.
