MacBookPro - trackpad problem

Occassionally, the trackpad on my MBP won't 'click'. If I press on it, the cursor will register a click, but there's no depression of the trackpad and no satistfying 'click'. the MBP is only about 10 months old.

Based on some surfing, it seems MBs sometimes develop a swollen battery, which presses against the trackpad from inside and inhibits it.

Anyone else experienced this?

thanks!

if possible, take it to the apple store.

do you restart the mpb regularly?

is it updated with latest operating system?

google your model and serial number and ask if any recall is pending.

I'd take it into the Apple store, they're actually really good about warranty repairs. I had my whole motherboard and my swollen battery replaced for free last year. You might have to push them, but they'll eventually do the stuff for you. (With my battery, they tried to say that it was normal wear, but ended up giving me a new one "just this once" anyway.)
