Macro bang for the buck...tubes.

  1. Here are another couple of early-learning-curve tries.

Late dusk,1 sec, shaky tropod up at 7 feet, dim light so I could get sharper.

We've all heard of the instinctive ferocity of a mother bear protecting her cubs.

I suspect that if calculated a fight per milligram ratio the ursine moms would fall into second place when pitted against this little nest tender.

This one didn't take it's hyper-vigilant little poly-faceted eyes off of me.
Unlike bees they can sting you again and again until you get the message...leave, please!

Not as sharp as it could be. Tripod extended all the way up to the eaves outside my kitchen.

1 second, f/13 , Nikkor 300f4 Kenko tubes. Flash at -4/3 Ev. rear curtain

And...the bug hunter under my jalepeno plant.....

    with the 70-200VR

  2. Vern,
I like what you are showing here. What did that set of tubes cost? are there 3 in the set?
