I dont know much about snakes, but upon going around on a very quite golfcource in a 10 degree heatwave I saw this snake on the side of a green and decided to take my change and try to capture it.
Little did I know that it is the only deadly one we have here in Denmark, and that it was behaving cauce it just crawled out of it winter jacket.
And here I was just one foot away taking pictures

I dont think the quality is good, but it has a story, so why not share it while I can

It is a well captured shot of a slow worm, (Anguis fragilis), not a snake at all but a legless lizard. It is totally harmless.

Thanks Mike
I´ll take that to the same specialists next week,:frown: And be sure I will give them the name you wrote down.
Next time I´ll get in a bit closer and with the sun behind me,.
Now I am off to Holland for a fototrip.
Thanks for your comment.

Correct, indeed. That is a lizard, not a snake. It's a relative of our glass lizards in the U.S. Very cool to see one.

I will take this picture to a couple persons who know the area and wildlife, it will be interesting to see what they say, and its nice to have a name now.
Thanks for looking
