Magazine Shoot Results - Opinions Please

Discussion in 'Landscapes, Architecture, and Cityscapes' started by Winnie, Aug 4, 2007.

  1. I did the On Location shoot yesterday with the 2 pros and 2 other readers of Outdoor Photography and I was a great afternoon. It was also a challenge to try and find images in what were very bright conditions at the start of the day so I started to look for close ups to avoid the high contrast.

Later in the session the sun was lower and the sky more appealing so I tackled some wider views.

Let me know what you think. One of these has to go in the magazine as my fave but I won't tell you just yet which I am leaning towards!

All are very good. I vote for the last one.

  5. 3, 4 and 5--WOW!
5 has my vote--but all the others ain't shabby either.
In general, I love how you worked a single scene--the white cliffs! Let's see, I could be there in oh about 10-12 hours if I caught the next flight!

  11. They're all ever so beautiful, #5 could really spark up the interior of a modern beach house!

  12. Thanks Michael

I like them all, just one question:
Why did you use long shutter on #4? I believe a normal wave with details would have been better IMHO.

    Greetings,

  15. Thanks Kevin

  16. Thanks

#4 wasn't a wave, it was a tidal flow from the estuary. I wanted to capture the movement of the water but I realise that look is not liked by everyone.

    Cheers

  17. All are beautiful. I really love the one you picked. I also spent a lot of time looking at the first one! It's very interesting to me.
