Magpies ? Help

THOUSAND OAKS, CALIF.
Was able to get some pictures of a couple of(I think are a variety) Magpies while I was on vacation. We stopped at a rest stop and there was a few out looking for crumbs that people drop while they are eating. They are very skittish and are not easy to get them to stand still to get a shot at. Maybe someone can identify them for me. Hope you enjoy.

Well I can tell ya, Peregrine falcons love to pic them off...lolol

Good shots.

Could well be a yellow-billed magpie. Nice captures for sure though. :wink:

just checked my bird books.. and it looks like a yellow billed magpie.. or thats the closest i can find... hope that helps

Thanks Tim, Frank also thinks that is the species so it looks like that's the closest so I'm satisfied.
