Magpies ? Help

Discussion in 'Birds' started by PEPPER PETE, Jul 22, 2005.

  1. Was able to get some pictures of a couple of(I think are a variety) Magpies while I was on vacation. We stopped at a rest stop and there was a few out looking for crumbs that people drop while they are eating. They are very skittish and are not easy to get them to stand still to get a shot at. Maybe someone can identify them for me. Hope you enjoy.

    Pete,

Could well be a yellow-billed magpie. Nice captures for sure though.

  4. Thanks Frank, I'm not into the species names of the birds but I love taking pictures of them.

  5. Thank you Gale, I'm sure a Falcon would like to pick them off also.

  7. Thanks Tim, Frank also thinks that is the species so it looks like that's the closest so I'm satisfied.
