Male and Female Downy Woodpecker

    Finally got the male to sit still long enough to get a good shot of him
    the Female is much more at ease around the feeders.. hope you like them

    I shoot out my dining room window.. which is about 15 feet away from the feeders.. or maybe even a little closer... then a crop and you got nice close ups..... waiting till i can order the nikon 300 f4 and converter.. should be able to count the feathers from this distance...the other Tim has sold me on this lens... now he has to watch out for my wife....lol.....
    Hope eveyones holiday was as nice as ours...

    Very pretty Woodpeckers. They are a unique bird.

    Do I detect a tad magenta cast...

    (or this monitor really hosed with the color. grrrrr)
