Please let me start out by saying that this is a horrible, long distance, back lit picture :)

However...these are one of my most favoritist birds and I've seen a few males starting to migrate back into the area. I patiently followed this guy around for darn near an hour and a half, trying to capture him as he posed beautifully among wild raspberry bushes.

I got tire of having my legs bleeding and burning from all of the thorns and finally grabbed a shot of him from far away perched on top of a tree...just to say that I got him :)

And yes...the little white specs aren't noise..it's part of the coloration.

Hi Jim- whats with the noise??

whats with all that white noise  Great capure, difficult shot and you handled it very well...........who ever thought one could shoot out the car window is dreaming. LOL............Just more gratifying when you earn it and you did it in spades!

Jim,
You really have an amazing talent with birds. Everytime I see one of your captures I am inspired and challenged. Thank you.
