Male Nothern Black Widow

This was my first time photographing a male widow and my first time photographing a Nothern (I usually see Southern's).

Seeing as the males don't last long after mating it's really cool you
got a shot of one...! :smile:

Very nice set. If I remember the male Northern Widow is the only one of the L.M. males that is large enough to bite through the human skin. Significantly large than other species males.

Your beautiful images do the animal justice. BTW is mostly an urban legend about the female eating the male, the Australian Red Back does it more frequently than other L.M. species.
