Mandarin ducks in the dawn

Discussion in 'Birds' started by DanielD, May 6, 2007.

  1. Found them in the middle of Berlin posing for me at the riverside of the Spree.
    Though already a bit dark, I was a happy shooter. :smile:

    They were enjoying the setting sun. (In my next life I'll be a pet, preferably a cat, that's for sure. Getting lodge and food for free, I could take sun bathes half the day and nobody would question it...)

    The amazing thing about these ducks is they always look soft when I take pictures of them, must be their feathers. (I hope).

    Beautiful!!!

  6. Cool! Would make a great hat :Crunk:

    I guess the softness may have to do with the Nyquist frequency? (Not that I know anything about that :Crunk:)

  7. Thanks, all.

    @mcs:
    Probably. Didn't had the chance to examine their feathers closely yet. :smile:

    Nice shots Daniel, i love the last one. One small nit if i may? The colours seem drab?

    Not sure if its the light but the one's near me are much more brightly coloured.

  9. Well, as I said, in the dawn.... not the light for brilliant colours :cool: .
