long island ny is home to many many estates and mansions. there is one open to the public in oyster bay in a botanical garden setting called the planting fields. the greenhouses have some beautiful flowers this time of year.

as long as i was shooting in hdr at the planting fields i figured i would try some. flowers which were giving me a hard time capturing the entire range.

these are 5 shots with nik hdr pro software and some hand editing

There are so many different ways you can work with HDR and yours is one of the best I have seen. Truly awesome.

thanks so much. i find the key to good hdr is let the hdr process leave the photo pretty flat looking. then re-expand and resaturate in nx2 with the color efex filters or topaz adjust.. its a better look i think then most of the hdr tonemapping leaves you with.
