I have not placed this image, genus Triadenum in the Medicinal Plants thread because this flower has extremely limited medicinal value, and should not be confused with the more medicinally recognized Yellow St-John's Wort, genus Hypericum.

At our pond, this plant blooms heavily around the time of the Perseid Meteor Shower. The blooms open in the late afternoon and are between 3/4 and 1 inch in diameter. It is in my opinion one of the most challenging wildflowers to photograph.
