Thanks for the tips. Alberobello was on the agenda for the day my stroke hit. We are definitely planning to return next Spring assuming my recovery continues apace.

I googled Matera afterwards because I haven't heard from it. Almost each year we visit Italy (Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna), but this region seems to be very worthwhile. Thanks for sharing.
