May I ask a favor

I have applied to sportshooters.com for membership. Part of the requirement is to submit a portfolio of your 10 best shots. I have gathered about 35 of my images in one folder, if anyone has time and would care to take a look and pick what they think are the best I would greatly appreciate it.

I looked through yor impressive gallery. I saw 27 images all very good! Some are variations of the same. I will look at them closer and try to give my feedback but I think your work speaks for itself. Do not fear submitting any 10 of these.

tons of good options for submission and the cafe has done a good job narrowing your choice. Do remember that it seems you need to have good detailed captions for your submissions, especially as its a pj/sports group.

Do you have a sponsor? If you do, that makes things sooooooo much easier. It is very hard to get in if you apply without a sponsor, but I think with your portfolio you could do it.

Mike, as Wembley said, you need to ensure that you have complete, accurate cutlines as well. I'd be happy to review your cutlines if you'd like. Post them here, PM or email me.

As for the pics, you obviously have terrific images and from seeing much of your work here, a distinct style of the up-close-and-personal "sportrait."

But, in a portfolio, I think this can work against you. The images, while ALL good, start to look repetitive. I don't think you'll have any problem whatsoever getting into SS, but I would consider adding a little variety. For example; a really wide shot, an extreme close up, maybe an excited crowd shot, huddled with coach on sideline, etc.

Anyway, just food for thought...
