Hi,

I noticed in my D2H and my D2X that when I press the shutter half way down the remaining shots (REM) display changes to C-REM and I can't find any reference to this in the manual. I shoot NEF uncompressed. I am wondering if anyone knows what this means?

For example I have a 1GB card in the camera right now with 8 shots already taken, the normal display says REM 42 (9), when I press the shutter 1/2 down it changes to C-REM 16 (9).

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Custom setting D2

"Can be used to limit the maximum number of photographs that can be taken in a single burst to any amount between one and forty."

My D2 setting on the D2H shows 40. With quality set to RAW the C-Rem indicates 25. With quality set to JPEG Fine it shows 40.

You can use this setting to limit how many you can get firing on full "rock and roll."

HTH
