Medieval mock combat today D2H & 300mm f/4

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Rich Gibson, Apr 16, 2005.

  1. I am so excited I am standing here beside myself!! :D  :D  :D  I took out my D2h cranked up to 7fps and hand held the 300. I set the camera Aperture and cloudy -3 ISO. These pictures are the unmodified jpg's! I don't know whether the folks in combat or I had more fun. There were a lot of women out there, including this fierce amazon!

I will post the rest on PBase tomorrow but I wanted you to get an iea of how intense these people get. Note a lot of old farts too!

In the next to the last one you can see someone about to have his head cleaved open (so to speak). In some of the ones I'll put up you really get a feeling of the "fog of war". It must have been unbelieveable in a melee' back then. The images are all AdobeRGB...I'll fix that later.

Man I had so much fun. Iused EVERY CF card I had. The D2H rocks!!!!!

    Rich :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

That does look like tons of fun. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't take that lady on in a dark alley.

  4. Hey, Rich, I think someone forgot to tell the guy at frame left that this was a mock battle! I'd sure hate to have him coming after me :?.

These are the most interesting shots I've seen for ages. Kudos.

Please post a link as soon as the others are up on Pbase.
  7. He looks like Darth Vader to me!
  8. Love them! In #2 and #4 you have really captured the dynamics, with #2 being my favorite of them all.
