Yesterday I got the chance to visit the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart / Bad Cannstatt.
The entrance fee is € 8,00 per person but absolutely worth it. We had to wait half an hour to get in ...
It's a new building and the architecture is very interessting.
When you have paid the fee you'll take an elevator to the fifth level and you'll start walking downwards.

(1) The first car Carl Benz constructed in 1885. His wife Berta was the one who drove it for the first time.

(2) Some cars from 1910 to 1920 ...

(3) A very early sports car. Look to that wonderful bucket seats ...

(4) Mercedes built aircraft engines. This one was for the Me109.

(5) The famous SSK, built in 1928.

(6) The legendary 540K.

(7) Look at those lines ...

(8) Even trucks and busses are shown. This truck is from the 50's.

(9) Cockpit of a race car from the 50's.

(10) The architecture is genius. You see the cars through a window before you reach them.

All pictures are OOC. The light inside the museum is fantastic. And the big adventure for me: I had time to shoot, I was wearing old clothes so I could lay on the ground ...

Yeah, it was. The first day with my AF-S 50mm 1.4 G and a wonderful place.
The next museums I like to visit are the Porsche and the Audi museums. There is a Rolls Royce museum in Dornbirn / Austria.

I visited the museum last jammer and posted some images then. Really neat to see the models and angles that you chose as compared to what I did.

Love all of these!

Hi Darren,
just found your thread and have to say that your pictures are awesome too.

It's really interesting to compare the way how people see the cars and take pictures then.

Thank you for your comments
Klaus
