As everyone can see from the shots already posted, we had a great time, and got a ton of great shots during our trip last week down to the Merritt Island and St. Augustine areas in eastern Florida. It rained virtually every day, but we didn't let that stop us from shooting. Here are some of my first shots from the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine. When we got there, there was a steady drizzle. I mounted the SB-800, put a towel over my cam and lens, and went hunting for birdies. Most were taken with the 70-200VR. BTW, I've looked at the posts from all of the other participants, and have to say that everyone did a great job. There were 50 posts by the time that Janie and I got back last night, and I'm going back out of town tomorrow for the rest of the week, so I'll just say, great job everyone!! We had folks there that had just gotten new cameras, and they did as well as the more seasoned vets. I greatly enjoyed meeting up with everyone, including the new folks. I can't wait to do this again!! Tricolor Heron: Tricolor w/babies: Snowy Egret: Another Snowy shot: Great Egret: Cattle Egret (in mating plumage): Wood Storks (HarryB, Backdoctor, and Flew....;-)): Thanks for looking in.
