Merritt Island Shoot - GBH Nest & Pileated Woodpecker

Discussion in 'Merritt Island I' started by bobhoge, Feb 21, 2005.

  1. On Friday Nan & I went to the Blue Heron Waste Water Treatment Facility that was closed over the weekend.

There were three GBH Nests there, one with visible chicks.

On the way home on Monday we stopped at Sebastion Inlet Park and saw a Pileated Woodpecker by the parking lot. We had never seen one before.

    What a great weekend!!!!

    Hi Bob,

Good captures especially the woodpecker. I've been to Blue Heron before but I've found that I need longer glass than what I'm carrying to get most of the available shots.

It was great meeting you and Nan.

    Wow Bob Great Captures.

The place in Titusville I was trying to think of. Great to know what is there.

I was under the impression they were a bit closer.

Meeting up with you and Nan was really great.

I have many photos of you returning from the

"Great Fearless4some" venture into the wild of the unknown.

The excitement you showed talking to harry on the way back in. Good stuff.

Will post my little photo journalistic shots of that soon.

    Cheers
