I was taking a golf cart for a ride on A1A in Miami Beach with Miami-Dade's finest in pursuit when I snapped this one.

Okay, real story - the very nice police officer helped me return the cart by escorting me from South Beach down A1A today on his way home. When I got to the top of the bridge I couldn't resist taking a pic.

I just can't help but shake my head in amazement and laugh

My Father used to say, "The things you see on Miami Beach when you don't have a gun"

Having been raised in Miami in the 50's ...omg

Courtland ..... I saw this post yesterday and as fate would have it, logged off and read an article about a man getting a DUI in a golf cart. Needless to say ...... I was like ... wait a minute. After reading the full article, I realized that the "other" cart was stopped in Michigan!! Thanks for sharing your pictures ..... I loved them! You have to admit, there aren't many people that can say they have driven the A1A in a golf cart!

Lucky you had a police escort behind you, you may not have made it over the bridge before getting run off the road or something, but then that's Miami for you.

LisaR, No drinking and carting for me. Except for driving with one hand while taking pictures, I kept it under the speed limit, and obeyed traffic signals.

seafoxfla, The traffic is pretty rough there so I was really thankful to have an escort.
