    No PS was used on the background. For this type of headshot, I use white seamless, positioned about 6 feet behind the subject and light it with a strobe. I set the D2X at f 5.0 and focus on the subject's eyes so the DOF tends to produce a clean white background with little noticeable surface detail. The background intensity is set to about 1 stop over the fill light. Too much background light tends to create annoying diffraction effects around the edge of the subject - especially the hair.
