Microsoft excel question

My ribbon in excel used to look similar to this.

Todayit started to look like this. It takes up more screen real estate. I have spent a great deal off time trying to figure out how to get the old look, with no luck. If any of you know how to change it back, I would be most grateful.

Ok got it,

For some reason you triggered Touch Mode.
Type Touch Mode into the Search and Select MOUSE instead of TOUCH
You can add this to your Quick Access Toolbar for future use.

No cats in this household. I have a touch screen and probably accidentally touched something.
