I just got a lens foot on Amazon for my new 500mm PF:Haoge lens foot

This is a great value, well machined and built , but for my purposes on a Gimbal head with a gripped D500 or D850 it is to short, meaning that the 500mm PF and camera won't balance well on my My Wimberly Gimbal head. it is 7.9 cm long. The RRS foot is 10.7cm, and sounds like a better choice in this scenario, although I haven't tried the RRS foot, and it is of course a lot more pricey(usd $120)

Hejnar makes good stuff, no doubt and reasonably priced. But his foot for the 500pf is 4.3 inches or 10.92 cm, so you are not really gaining much over the RRS foot.

For my 500pf, I ended up attaching a long (6 inches) wimberly plate I had lying around. Sure, it is a bit heavier than just a foot, and looks less refined - but I can balance that lens with anything from a D5 to a D7200 on my gimbal and I don't notice the extra oz or two.
