How long to you guys typically leave the mirror up when you use MLU? Is 2 seconds enough to let the vibrations die down or do you need 8+ seconds?

    Thanks,

    Chris

  2. From an engineering standpoint I assume with natural damped vibrations the response is exponential, so it depends. I never wait more than a second or so. I would think the difference in images between waiting one or ten seconds would be below the threshhold of other factors, like ground shake and ambient wind conditions.

I have never really timed it, but I would guess from the first press to raise the mirror to the second press of the remote to fire the shot takes place between 1 to 3 seconds.
