that is really the smallest Nikon DSLR toy you can make so cute!
although it'd drive me nuts doing things sans the meter and sans auto focus.
Why wouldn't you want to use the meter?
I thought the meter stopped working with an old lens and the D40.
No, the AF doesn't work unless it's AF-S and above but this is MF anyways. The meter will work since it's AI-P so the distance data etc will be passed to camera and allow all Nikon DSLRs to meter with this lens.
Yep... meter works fine and we even have focusing aid from the autofocusing system. OK, not as easy as with autofocus but not difficult either, especially with a little practice. :biggrin:
