mixed bag

    Was a nice day out, a bit hot, but there were birds,

    a variety, still several hundred to process, here are a few early ones:

    D300 200-400, ISO 200-800, f5.6 with 1.4 TC tripod, (yes I know, me using a tripod, but they weren't flying much, so static I use the tripod)

    Juvenile Little Blue Heron, first year:

    Pied Billed Grebe with a youngster, I have a ton feeding/teaching how to fish shots I still have to convert from raw, but here are the first two done,

    Nice series, love the Grebe's. They are among my favorite birds.

    Was a nice series of Grebe's a long way off but they did crop pretty good, first time with a youngster in the shot for me

    Thanks Thomas, my first time up close with the immatures too, so I took a "few" shots

    Thanks Warren, light was good then bad then good with broken clouds, so I had a variety of light to help.
