Mom osprey protecting her nest

  1. Hi All, It was pretty hot here in New Jersey and the young ospreys I was planning on shooting were not budging from their nest. Mom was hanging on a tree limb about 50 yards from the nest, as soon as she saw me getting close to the nest she gave me a few "Happy to see you" flybys.

    Equipment: Nikon D200, 70-200mm VR and 1.4TC

    Thanks for looking!

  5. Look good Anthony. Lot's of them this year, all around. I just took over a thousand photos at Cape Cod with my son. Nests are everywhere but you need to ask.

  9. Hi Lou, Here in Jersey we have a bumper crop of ospreys this year and I love it! I have 5 different nests that I've been shoot. When my ospreys migrate south I get to shoot your Cape Cod ospreys migrating south!

    Thanks, Anthony
