  5. Brown bear? She's beautiful but how do you tell brown from the grizzlies? Nice job too! Hope you took that with a really long lens!
     
  6. Hi Dianne! it was a long lens, but they were fairly close.

    Brown Bear and Grizzlies are the same species. The terms are often interchanged. The only distinction is habitat. Brown Bears tend to be coastal and larger (think salmon streams) and grizzlies interior (Mountians, Tundra). However around here we mostly just call them Brown Bears.
     
  7. Hey thanks for the info! No matter what, she's pretty! Only bears I've seen so far were in the zoo.
