    Took these at a wildlife park the other day.We had access behind the scenes and personal tour from the head of the reptile department.Great day out,anyway here some of the mongoose

    This is why there are no snakes in St Croix.
    Bunches down there. They stay quite hidden though and was not able to get a good shot of them.

    We called them St Croix squirrels

    Years ago they imported these animals to do away with rodents. However they did not realize they were not nocturnal animals and they rid the island of all the snakes and still have the rodents:>)))
