monitor focus issue

I run a dual monitor system using an NVIDA Quadro FX 3400 which has two DVI ports. I have been using an old IBM CRT and an LG W1953S as a secondary monitor. I just picked up a NEC PA241W to replace the aging IBM. The new NEC looks great but now the LG has "vertical bands of focus". Every inch or so the focus is sharp and then becomes fuzzy. Both monitors are running at their native resolution. The LG is analog but has been fine up till I installed the new monitor. Any ideas what might be causing this? How to fix? Thanks.

Does the LG have an automatic alignment button - that is what you need to look for, or a manual adjustment.

The banding is an interference pattern caused by having a very small number too many or too few pixels transmitted per line. (The number out is equal to the number of vertical bands.) Check the manual for the monitor.

Thanks for your suggestion Richard. I did try to go through the monitor's OSD to re-configure but nothing seemed to help. Amazingly, unplugging the monitor and plugging it back in seems to have solved the problem!
